Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion
On Tuesday I went to visit the Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion exhibition at the V&A museum in London with my mum. I've been meaning to visit the exhibition for a while now but I've been so busy with university and work I've just not had the time! The exhibition was great, the V&A never fail to impress me whenever they put on a fashion exhibition. The ground floor of the exhibition was all about Balenciaga's work, and the floor above was all about designers who have been inspired by his work. There was a workshop where you could make your own one-seam coat and various videos of catwalks and pattern cutting.
According to the V&A, the exhibition "examines the work and legacy of influential Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga, with over 100 pieces crafted by 'the master' of couture, his protégées and contemporary fashion designers working in the same innovative tradition". The exhibition is well worth a visit and is on until Sunday 18th February 2018, and even better, you can take photos!
