Boux Avenue: lingerie at its finest

Lets talk lingerie! So recently I've become almost obsessed with lingerie and have inhibited a secret love for matching bra and knicker sets (I think the Christmas sales are to blame and all their enticements). Partly due to my new years resolution being to not depend on or shop in Primark, I have decided to expand my lingerie go-to shops and look at some more rather pricey or to put it nicely, up-market places.
Over Christmas I indulged in Vicoria Secret's semi-annual sale and bought two pairs of knickers and six of their gorgeous-smelling body mists (they were on offer ok)! Being fairly large busted for my size I have always struggled to find nice, not frumpy looking bras and it seems Boux Avenue is the answer to my prayers. I haven't been in any of their actual stores...yet, but from looking at images I can see the shop priorities the idea of chic and femininity, like what is present on their online store and in their products, almost giving it a boutique-like style. I have also read other blogger reviews who have said that the store offer a fitting service and the fitting rooms even have three different light settings, so you can avoid looking at those lumps and bumps you didn't know you had.
My initial reaction was to look at what goodies they had in the sale and I came across a gorgeous pastel pink bra. Referred to as the 'Jesse plisse mesh balconette bra' I took one look and I was in love with what the shop has to offer. I ordered the 'Jesse' bra straight away because it looked so delicate and was reduced from £28 to £10 - how could I say no? Upon ordering, I was given the option of gift wrap or not, as I had only purchased a sale item I was only allowed to receive the bra in a brown box but the shop offer you the option of gift wrapping, which means you get to receive your goods in a printed box and filled with scented rose petals (if you are to buy something full price) - and the best part is, it's still free!

So as you can see, the 'Jesse' bra looks exactly like it does in the stock images which is a great start. It's colour is unbelievably feminine and chic, the lace adds an edgy touch to the otherwise girly bra. I ordered the bra in a size 32E which is my normal size and the bra fits perfectly. I find the balconette style super flattering and lifting which creates a perfect, natural shape.
I have also had my eye on a few of their knickers, but as I fall between an 8/10 I decided to ask the brand directly for which size they would advice. The shop offer an online chat service and within minutes of typing in my name, I had already received a good answer and recommendation. The lady advised a size 8 would probably be best suitable but pointed out, sizes vary with style, but I shouldn't worry because they offer a free returns service.
The Boux Avenue website also offer great tips and advice on how to find your perfect bra size and by watching their advice videos, I learnt the best way to put on your bra which can actually enhance the size of you boobs and you may even need to go up a cup size as a result - having now used the technique, I can certainly see a difference!
I will certainly be buying from Boux Avenue again soon, not only do they offer student discount (valid through Unidays) but every time you spend money with them, you earn points which go on your VIP card. For every pound you spent, you earn one point and one point is worth £0.05. So what's great is that I spent £12.00 for the bra (including student discount and postage) and now have £0.45 off my next purchase. I think you'll agree that's a win win!
